What are the Seven Media Keys?
The Seven Media Keys were consolidated as such for the first time in Dr. Eugene Gan's book Infinite Bandwidth. However, they are simply a condensation pulled from the enormous amount of documents the Vatican has released on social communications. In one sense, the Seven Media Keys are what media should be to fulfill its meaning. In its other sense, it is what media makers and consumers should keep in mind as they create and consume media. It is a guide the Church has given us, told us over and over again in its multitude of documents on communications - that this is what we need to be aware of in a world with ever advancing and ever increasing media. These are the keys we should take in our approach to unlock and embrace the gift of social communications.
